Apologies for such a belated email, but we have just returned from our honeymoon. We are truly lost for words, but you are first on our list to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for everything that you did to make our wedding day one of the best days of our life.

Jacqui / Bernadette – Thank you so much for your assistance in the lead up to the wedding – and your patience with the many questions we had along the way. Nothing felt like it was too much trouble, which took so much stress out of the preparations.

Janet / Rob – You were absolutely phenomenal on the day! You ran the show seamlessly and made us feel 100% at ease with all the timings and arrangements – we felt very spoilt with all our bubbly top-ups during the photos, and the sneaky plate of canapes & cheese at the end of the night!

You really do have a phenomenal team at Field & Fork. We work with lots of caterers at The Old Vic, and we have to say that your team were exceptional. Our guests commented that the canapes and dinner were exceptional and were overwhelmed with such generous portions and the attentiveness and politeness of the staff.

You really did us proud – and we hope to pop back to Chichester soon for a more relaxed and leisurely meal at the restaurant soon!

We seriously cannot thank you enough for making our day just perfect!
From the first guest to arrive to the last to leave the service your team provided was simply impeccable – you completely blew everyone away! We have had so many family members and friends telling us how impressed they were and recalling their own moments of the extraordinary service they received – which is an absolute joy for a bride and groom to hear.
From our point of view, the service for the top table was nothing short of perfect. In fact we can’t remember being better attended to in our entire lives. Vas (we hope we’re spelling that correctly) was absolutely first class, he knew what we needed before we needed it and was constantly on hand, this extended long after the meal service and Laura May and I were still finding our glasses topped up on the dance floor and out by the fire pit – please can you pass our sincere thanks onto him.
In Rob we experienced a top class front of house, every interaction we had with him was a joy and his relaxed and flexible manner put us totally at ease at every point throughout the day… even agreeing to play along with the brother-of-the-bride’s surprise speech and temporarily having the entire room giving him ‘daggers’! His professionalism both on the day and at the planning meeting felt like it pulled the whole wedding together and we knew everything was under control with him. Thank you Rob.
Finally, the food itself, one of our only regrets from the day was that we were running on emotion and simply didn’t have enough appetite to fully enjoy what every guest said was just a stunning meal. We really appreciate Sam’s professionalism and passion to take the time ahead of the wedding to ensure we were 100% happy, and we absolutely were.
Thank you all again, all the planning help (across the time zones!) the incredible food, and of course the first class service, Field & Fork delivered 100% and truly helped make our wedding day unforgettable for every single guest.

A massive thank you to everyone that was involved in our wedding last Saturday 26th. The food and service was amazing, everyone commented on how lovely the food was (especially the mash potato!)

Also to ‘Naz’ we think it was, the barman/waiter who always made sure we had a full glass during the meal and constantly supplied Ashley with anything alcoholic in the evening!!

Neil and I would like to thank you for your help over the past months with the planning of Laura and Matt’s wedding, which took place on the 7th October.  You were always very helpful whenever we contacted you and for that we were very grateful.

Laura and Matt had a wonderful day and so did we.  Our guests enjoyed themselves and many of them complimented us on our choice of venue and the delicious food.  Please pass on our compliments to the chef.  Your precise planning allowed the bridal party to relax and enjoy a memorable day.  The excellent facilities provided by Southend Barns combined with Field and Fork’s expertise provide a winning formula which we would recommend to anyone planning a wedding.

Laura and Matt Praeger – 7th October 2016

Mike and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Southend Barns and Field and Fork for making our wedding day that extra bit special. Southend Barns was simply beautiful, everything we imagined and more! We have had so many lovely comments, complementing how wonderful the venue looked as well as how helpful each member of staff were. Despite the poor weather, it kind of went unnoticed with all of the hard work both yourselves and Field and Fork did to not let it impact any part of the day! Changing the times of our meals at last minute, location of photographs and standing out in the pouring rain to cover us with umbrellas to ensure we didn’t get a drop of rain on us just shows how dedicated each one of you are to go above and beyond for your guests! Personally, as a panicky bride you made me feel at ease and I cannot thank you enough for this.

On a personal note, Mike and I would like to say a big thank you to Alice for all of her hard work in the build up to the day. Essentially our wedding planner for the best part of a year and as a result of this, there was never any doubt that our day would be everything we had dreamed of. On the day alongside Laura, the both of you put the finishing touches to our venue and the running of ceremony to make it that little bit more special and personalised and we thank you for this.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Field and Fork for their contributions to the day. Again, the constant communication and opportunity to taste a selection of menus beforehand meant that we were effectively worry free in the build up to the day. All members of staff were so helpful and accommodating to all of our guests throughout both the meal and evening reception. Naz who looked after us on the head table did a wonderful job and ensured we had a full glass throughout the day. A special thank you to Rob for all of his hard work throughout the day; co-ordinating every part of it from the ceremony onwards. Rob constantly informed both Mike and I of what was going to happen next and demonstrated great flexibility with these timings in order to make the day perfect. Both him and his staff did a wonderful job and compliments to the chef as the food was simply amazing! Guests have said that the meal was the best they have ever had!

We are so happy that we chose to get married at Southend Barns and will definitely recommend it to anyone else looking to get married in the future. Thank you for all you did on our wedding day and we will truly never forget it!

A monumental thank you for everything on Monday at our magical wedding!! Your food was sensational – especially the pork canape, melt in the mouth steak and dreamy profiteroles. Just wow!!

Your staff were helpful, always smiling, attentive and friendly so please do thank them for a great job.

Special thanks to Janet for her epic organisation and calming words to Dave, they were both appreciated massively. Thank you also to Rob for being a superhero on the day and for being right there when we needed him.

What can we say to you guys!! How do we thank you for truly making our wedding the best day of our lives.

In our naive world we had no idea prior to our wedding how important caterers are and how much you do- forgive us….we thought they just did the food!! We are now fully educated – you guys do IT ALL!!!!!

We are SO thankful to all of the team, the ones in the office who emailed and chatted with us in the lead up, Janet for meeting with us initially and helping plan out our day, the amazing staff at the tasting, then lovely lady at our drop off and then the staff on the day. We are SO sorry we don’t know names but each and every one of you made our process so easy, relaxed and incredible.

To the team who worked our wedding day, honestly we don’t know your names because you were like little angels (male angels too!!) you floated around making everything perfect without us even feeling your presence! We always had a drink – or someone to take it, our guests couldn’t ask too much of anyone, things just happened and we didn’t see anyone do them! We have friends who work in events management who said the next day….”we were moved, and i didn’t know i was being moved…..thats my job..thats what i do and i didn’t notice! it was amazing!!”

At one point….i swear i thought it in my head, “i really fancy a lemonade” and then two mins later our table server arrived with a lemonade…..You cant ask for more than that….a mind reader!!!

The food…..oh the food!!! Incredible, absolutely incredible. Our guests are still talking about it. The Shoulder of Lamb has gone down in history for a lot of our guests as the best meal they have ever eaten!!! Every single person has said how incredible the food was.

I won’t go on, but we needed to tell you how much appreciate all you did. Everyone. Down to the lovely waiters/waitresses….we thank you.

Rob, THANK YOU!!!! You were incredible.

To the man who served the top table on the 6th August at SEB, we are so sorry we don’t know your name  but you are a superstar and we both thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You went the extra mile, even at the end of the night when you must have been exhausted, you were such a super star. Thank you.
